Can I say that I'm impressed!?! Well, I am. Let me just first say that I haven't used box color in so long, that I can't even remember the last time I even purchased it. With that being said, I received this hair color from the company influenster to do a review. I was apprehensive to say the least, but I really needed to color my hair. I am about 50-60% gray and most of it is in the front near my hairline. It is noticeable. So, I said to myself, that I would give this product a try. I must say, I like the results.
The color I was sent was 3.0, which is darkest brown. I like the color because it gives my hair the look of being black, but not having to actually color my hair black. I don't like to color my hair black. In my opinion, it doesn't look realistic on me, at least not anymore. I also like it because of how it fades. The color gradually fades and it is not a harsh line of demarcation. The color covered my gray very well. See the picture below.
I tried to post a close up. Excuse the forehead. My hair line was very much gray and the color covered it quite well. It was better than I expected. When applying and rinsing the color, it put me in the mind of Redken chromatics hair color. When rising the color off my hair, it did not rinse that easy, but neither does the Redken Chormatics hair color. Once it is rinsed and conditioner is applied, the hair is soft and there is a nice sheen to the hair. The Garnier hair color has oil in it and you can tell it does because it is a little thick, but that is a good thing. It is supposed to help your hair remain soft and moisturized and not a dry and brittle mess like some other brands make your hair feel.
In my honest opinion, if I had to repurchase hair color, I would buy this again. It actually did a great job and my hair still feels nice from it. I have noticed that either my hair is growing a lot faster, or this hair color is fading a little fast. I think it's my hair growth because I haven't shampooed my hair yet. So, my hair is growing.
